My background story

Growing up in Quebec City, Canada, I was introduced to Chinese medicine from an early age. My mother regularly took me to her acupuncturist, where I became fascinated by the fine needles and meridian charts. That curiosity stayed with me throughout my life and eventually led me to study Chinese medicine in Australia.

In 2014, I began my Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Southern School of Natural Therapies. Completing my degree while raising two young boys made the journey longer than expected, but also shaped me into the practitioner I am today.

After graduating, I completed a two-year mentorship in Tuina Chinese massage with Dr Andre Tse while working in his clinic. His guidance strengthened my clinical skills and laid an important foundation for my practice.

Over the past several years, my focus has increasingly shifted towards the science behind acupuncture. Through extensive postgraduate education, I have developed a strong interest in neuroscience, pain science, electro-acupuncture and neuromodulation. Today, my treatments integrate traditional Chinese medicine with contemporary evidence and neurophysiology, combining time-honoured diagnostic principles with a modern understanding of how acupuncture influences the nervous system.

East Brunswick Acupuncture reflects that evolution. My goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-informed care that combines the depth of traditional Chinese medicine with the best available scientific understanding, helping patients feel heard, understood and supported throughout their treatment..
